Internet at last! Internet at last! We have internet at last!

So after almost a month of being in a country with only an iphone to pass along the wee hours or random boredom, the time has come to do more meanial things in a faster manner. No longer will I have to wait 5 seconds to update my facebook status. No more will I be forced to check my fantasy teams via size .003 font. I can now use a KEYBOARD and a 16 inch screen to let time fly by on me.

I'm also very pleased to finally be contributing more to our blog. One can blog from the iphone, but who wants to shuffle through all those apps to find the right one to actually make the page work? And really if you're going to write on any type of touchscreen phone by the time you get a few sentences in you're so exhausted from having to focus... so... hard... on... those... little... letters... then they explode in size and oh no, you are no longer "on my way" but "I'm nu est", and no one wants to be nu est.

Now I can piddle away on a full keyboard that does fit my hands and enjoy downloading music, watching movies, gchat, skyping and all the (appropriate) goodies wireless has to offer. As much as I'd love to continue blogging I believe this will suffice for now. I'll wait till the morning when all my friends are not awake and distracting me to update with some past 20 days info and pictures.

2 days til flight

So the countdown is in the final stages now. I am less than 48 hours away at this poing. I will have two days to spend with my family and then I will be in the air for 11 hours till I finally reach my destination in Amsterdam. This has been a long and exciting road but I am really looking forward to this opportunity. Everyone else says its great so I guess by majority vote it must be. I'll miss my family and friends dearly but with the technology available to communicate with them today the distance will seem a whole lot smaller.
